Dorothy A. Holmes

Dorothy A. Holmes (Baby Sister), 65, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, in her home. She was predeceased by her parents, Marie "Mama Soul" Johnson and JC Holmes; her brothers, Jerry Green, Jonny Holmes; and her beloved daughter, Geveda Holmes. She is survived by her two sisters, Ruth Rountree and Marcia Holmes; three daughters, Melocka, Carmesha and Natika; nieces, Loretta, Tiawanna, Veronica, Kiesha and Stephanie; nephews, Darrow, Benjamin, Steven, Mathew, Anthony, Danny, Alan and Alexis; a host of great nieces and nephews as well as her BFFL, Barbara Middleton. Dorothy was a lover of the Lord and her grandchildren, Quashaia, Qualaysia, Madeeah, Brandon, and Reggie Jr. They were the loves of her life, and spending time with them brought her much joy. She will forever be in our hearts. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service. The repast will be at the daughter's home, 244 Robinson Street, Binghamton following the service.
