Dustin J. Cook, 26, passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2015. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Hermann Schuldt; long time best friend, Sgt. Christopher Brown. He is survived by his parents, Nancy and Jack Lezotte; siblings, Derek, Alyssa, and Trevor; son, Gavin and the mother of his son, Rachel Thomas; grandparents, Mary and Dannie Stevens, Patricia Hardy; Virginia Schuldt; father, Dale Cook; aunts and uncles, Lorri and Les Bowen, Karen Schuldt and Jim Skinner, Kristina Schuldt and Nathan Mower, Nickolaus Schuldt and Caron Thomas, Mary and Joe Wenzel, Jill and Chris Kates, Bill Lezotte, Sharon and Pat Stanek, Tom and Shelly Lezotte, several cousins, including Brittany Bowman to whom he was very close; very close special friends, Clare Farrett, Mary Farrett, Larry Stone, Lauren Stone and Bill Folk, many caring and loving friends, and his beloved dog Scotch. Dustin attended Susquehanna Valley School and graduated from Johnson City High School. He attended Suny Broome where he obtained an Associates in Engineering Science with high honors. Dustin was currently a student at Binghamton University to obtain his bachelors in Electrical Engineering where he would have obtained his degree in May. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed skydiving, snowboarding, hiking, fishing, camping, and traveling. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the Wm R Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson NY. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 24 at 10:00 am at Wm R Chase & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to B.C. Humane Society 2 Jackson St. Binghamton, NY 13903 in memory of Dustin J. Cook.
