Eleanor L Trinder
August 15, 1930 – March 12, 2021
Eleanor L. “Ellie” Trinder of Binghamton, NY went to sing in the Lord’s choir on Friday, March 12, 2021. She was 90 years young. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 2002 and a sister, Evelyn King in 2003. Eleanor is survived by her children, Douglas & Claudia Trinder of AZ., Donna & Ryan Baker of AL., Sharon & Frank Masi of AZ., and Russell Trinder of Binghamton, grandchildren, Ben, Jeff, Katie and Joshua, great grandchildren, Emiliano, Sebastian, Luke, and Ethan. Also, several nieces and nephews. She loved her warm house as she said so often….” Thank You Lord!” Also her screened porch for afternoon naps, and floating in her heated swimming pool, these were her favorite places. She also loved the sunshine whether working in her flower gardens, relaxing on the back patio, or taking picnics to nearby parks and lakes. Many Sundays were spent with her late husband Walt taking a leisurely drive through the countryside. Music was a large part of her life. The radio was always on in her kitchen. She loved to sing and sang with the Sweet Adelines Group and Quartet for many years. Eleanor was an avid golfer and bowler. She loved playing cards especially bridge with her many friends. She also loved any kind of a party and enjoyed getting dressed up for the occasion while Walter waited, waited, and waited! Being of service to others was her blessing that she passed on to all of us. Her family, friends, and neighbors were of utmost importance to her, caring for and spending time with them. They would go out to breakfast or lunch together to reminisce and just have fun with the girls. Another favorite place was Tioga Downs, playing the slot machines. Before she retired, Eleanor drove a school bus. Later in life she enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels even though she was a senior citizen herself. Eleanor was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In memory of Ellie’s life, please kindly consider serving others less fortunate than yourself by volunteering for a worthwhile cause.

Doug, Donna, Sharon, Russ,
My sympathy to all of you and my prayers. She was such a loving friend and I have so many great memories of so many fun times with your Mom and Dad. We always talked even when we couldn’t manage to get together. I will miss her. Rest In Peace, Eleanor.
