Esther Vining Bennett, 100, of Windsor, passed away on January 3, 2016. She is survived by her children, Clair and Oneida Wells-Bennett, of Kannapolis, NC; and Carol and Lynn Smith, of Vestal; her grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, of New York, NY; and Mark Smith, of Vestal; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Esther was a loving wife and mother and was known for crocheting lap blankets and prayer shawls for various charitable organizations. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 8, at First United Methodist Church, 56 Chapel St. Windsor with Rev. Douglas Clark officiating. Burial will take place in South Windsor Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
