Gary M. Baker, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 16, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Ida Mae; brother-in-law, Nick Demchecl. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Virginia "Ginny"; children, Natalie, Nicole and Jason; grandchildren, Jonas and Elaina; several siblings and close friends and family. Gary was a graduate of Chenango Valley High School and was employed at Norandex for over 35 years and was a member of the Chenango Fire Department for over 35 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors and time spent with his grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
