

Gerald L. Price, Jr., 75, formerly of Binghamton NY and Fort Lauderdale FL passed away peacefully in Cape Coral FL on May 30. Jerry was born in Binghamton on April 23, 1940. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerald L. Price, Sr. and Sophie (Dworak) Price of Binghamton. He is survived by his son Gerald E. Price (Salt Lake City UT), his Aunt Geraldine Price (Florida) and many cousins and friends.
A graduate of Binghamton Central High School, Jerry was an avid athlete, lettering in every sport. He was a proud All State Volleyball player, and made All State and All Conference in football. One of his most prized accomplishments was playing Offensive Linesman during the Bulldog’s 1957 undefeated football season.
Jerry moved to Florida after graduation and attended the University of Miami. During his long career in banking, he was Vice President of The Florida Bankers Association and President of his Chapter of the American Association of Bankers. After retirement, he spent many seasons with H&R Block both in Ft. Lauderdale and Binghamton. He was active in Kiwanis and Civitan and served as President at a local level in both of these organizations in Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 11, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1031 Chenango St. Binghamton. Entombment will follow at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of service.
