Imelda Terrell 07/07/33 – 12/26/2020 Imelda (Mattioli) Terrell, 87, passed away on December 26, 2020, after fighting a long battle with cancer. Imelda was born in Roccomontepiano, Italy, to Palma Delgrosso and Giulio Mattioli. She and her family migrated to the United States in December of 1936. She was predeceased by her brother, Bruno Mattioli, and her granddaughter, Nicole Terrell. She is survived by her loving family; Sons, Michael, Kurt Terrell from Cooperstown, NY, Mark Terrell from Magnolia, TX, Bradley (Tammy) Terrell from Northville, NY; daughter, Eileen (Peter Naple)Terrell, Northville, NY; Her grandchildren, Curtis, Brandon, Jared, Jenna, Lindsay, Jessica, Austin, Devin and Hailey, and several great grandchildren; brothers, Anthony (Ferne) Mattioli and John Mattioli. Imelda worked various jobs over her lifetime, but most dear to her heart was taking care of others. Not only raising her 5 children, but later caring for young and old alike. She had a compassionate heart and a desire to help others. Imelda also had a passion for crocheting and knitting, and spent countless hours creating beautiful heirloom blankets, clothing and other items for those she loved. Other hobbies included gardening, where she canned the most delicious tomatoes and vegetables, dancing, snowmobiling, camping and bird watching. Imelda was happiest when surrounded by family and enjoying time together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Calling hours will be held at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home located at 737 Chenango St, Port Dickinson, NY on Wednesday, December 30th from 10am-12pm., followed by a service in the chapel at Calvary Cemetery.
