James W. Palmer, age 73, of Binghamton, New York passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Jim was born June 4, 1948. He resided at Peninsula Drive for several years, prior to that he lived at the Chenango St. IRA. He attended Achieve for many years. Jim had a special lady in his life, Theresa, with whom he loved spending time.
Jim enjoyed doing all his favorite activities such as fishing, shopping, and going to antique car shows. He would get excited when he found a new piece of Elvis memorabilia during his outing to add to his collection. Jim loved his Elvis memorabilia and dressed up as Elvis for the Halloween parties over the years. He was happy and simply beamed to share what happened during all his special outings/events.
He was a collector; he would bring out all of the items that he purchased (and we all know that he liked to collect things) and told a story about each one. He was a Lego builder and puzzle enthusiast, would display his finished products on his table in his room. He would enjoy showing them to others when they came to work or visit.
Jim also would color for hours and enjoyed making beautiful art pieces. He was proud of his bike that he loved riding in his neighborhood. He was a man of few words mostly, but you could tell when he was observant and keeping an eye on those around him.
Jim will be dearly missed as he touched many hearts and was a joy to have him with us. Jim was laid to rest in Riverhurst Cemetery in Endwell. Arrangements by Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home.
