It was quite a few years ago when John and Nancy came to New London to stay over on the boat and to go fishing. We had a great time but I remember John saying that sleeping on the bunk on the boat was like sleeping on his wood floor! I will never forget the fun we had that day and I am so glad they were able to come.

John and I had been putting on monthly workshops for the past year, with the shared goal to help others learn and grow personally and professionally. We called our workshops Make Things Happen. This is exactly what John did every day. He had goals and dreams and so many experiences, and he was willing to share it all with anyone who wanted to be a better person. He will be missed, with his big ideas, big laugh, and big heart. Rest In Peace.

Any place with John felt like home. At his backyard barbecue with Nancy, at legendary gatherings on Price Street, at the Polkowski reunion in Kentucky, and everywhere else, his laughter drew crowds of people. John and his booming voice are in our hearts forever. God bless him and the Polkowski family.
