Joseph J. Ferro, 91, passed away September 28, 2104 at his home. He was predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Samuel and Albert. He is survived by Anne Ferro, his children; Richard Ferrro, Lisa (Rich) Murphy; grandchildren, Corina, Zachary, Brayden; sister, Theresa Newton; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Ferro and Mary Rogers; brother-in-law, John Svrcek; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Joseph was a member of St. Francis Church and was an usher at St. Christopher's Church for many years and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a retired employee of GAF Corp. after 43 years and Tiesi's Sunoco Station. He loved bowling, hunting and time spent in Atlantic City.
The family will receive friends and family from 4-7 pm Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Francis Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
