Laura E. Robertson

Laura Eleanor (Szachara) Robertson, born on February 24, 1921, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, Bronislaus & Michalena (Rakoski) Szachara ; five brothers, Felix, Walter, John, Joseph and Frank; four sisters, Louise, Lucy, Elizabeth and Theresa; two grandchildren, Mary Ann and Jesse. She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Carl) Fenescey and Bonni Brennan; one son, David & Margaret Robertson; eight grandchildren, R. Thomas Williams, Troy Williams, Ryan Williams, Brandon Robertson, Shannon Griffis, Stephanie Frisbie, Jamey Strauch and Jason Strauch; fifteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was a food service supervisor, retiring after over 30 years of service from the Binghamton Psychiatric Center. She was a member of St. Paul's and St. Mary of the Assumption choirs for over 30 years. She spent her life dedicated to her children, her grandchildren, her family and her friends. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff at Ideal Senior Living Center Nursing Home's, Violet Court, for their compassionate and excellent care.The family will receive friends on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 4-7 pm at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY 13901. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Paul's Church, 25 Doubleday Street, Binghamton, NY 13901. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
