Leroy R. (Mike) Linville

Leroy R. (Mike) Linville, 83, with his hammer and sanding block he worked his way to Heaven on Thursday, March 5, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents, Leroy R. and Pearl Linville Sr., as well as his in-laws, Timothy and Doris Jenot; sisters, Irene Schell; Doris Casselbury, Beverly Hagstrom, Joan Courtney; brothers, Edward Linville, Bud Hall, and Larry Pierce. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Irene Linville; son, Robert and Elizabeth Linville, daughters, Nancy and John Semmelmann, Jean Linville and Roseann Mascali; grandchildren; Jennifer and Mark Rodgers, Ben Linville and Jennifer Avery; great grandchildren, Mareena and Adam Bixby, Kiaira Linville and Mason Rodgers; great-great grandchild, Tyler Bixby. Mike belonged to the Chenango Bridge Volunteer Fire Co for over 54 years, was a member of FASNY-Central, FASNY-Broome County, NYS Association of Fire Chiefs, Town of Chenango Grievance Board, Carpenters Union Local 277. He was past chief of Chenango Bridge Volunteer Fire Co. and President of Chenango Bridge Volunteer Fire Co. for nine years. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 3-5pm at the Chenango Bridge United Methodist Church with a memorial service to follow at 5pm at the church.
