Mark P. Callahan

May 11, 1958March 23, 2021

Mark Patrick “Crank” Callahan, 62, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, surrounded by his loving family and met his Lord and Savior with open arms. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack & Diana Callahan, sister, Christi, sons, Jay and David John, grandson, Solomon, and “brother” Gary Conrow. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Pamela “Spamela”, children, Diana Smith, Mark (Lisa), Christi (Eric) Griffith, and Brooke Jenkins, grandchildren, Jason (Kori), Daniel, Baby Di, Kayleigh, Gavin, Dylan, Oliver Jay, Calem, and great-granddaughter Elizabeth Jae, sisters, Lynn, and Phyllis (Lowell) Smith, also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Mark was a lifelong resident of Binghamton and a member of First Assembly of God. His dreams were owning a motorcycle and owning a motorcycle shop, both of which became his reality. He loved music of all kinds but it had to be loud! He loved the NY Giants and his NY Yankees and animals, especially his own furbabies. Mark was very active in AA being a friend of “Bill” for over 30 years and headed Celebrate Recovery. He had many jobs such as Endicott Johnson’s and Montgomery Ward. He was a true master salesman. He could literally sell you anything. Mark was one of the founding members of the clean and sober Fifth Chapter Motorcycle Club in Binghamton and became the Corporate Chairman at the national level for the club. The Family will receive friends at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, NY 13901 on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 pm, a Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 3:00 pm. Pam would like to extend her sincerest thanks and gratitude to Mark’s sister, Phyllis, and her husband for the loving care and support they provided him. Gary, there are not enough words. Special thanks also to dear neighbors, Jeff, Bill, and Mike, Fifth Chapter M. C. especially, Willie & Jessie. Pam would also like to thank her employer Mirabito for the consideration and support they provided for her to be with Mark. Finally Dr. Martin and Dr. Ali for their efforts in his battle and the nurses and staff of Lourdes Hospice for their love, care, and support. Pam to Mark, “Until we ride again my love.”

Pam all the children and furbabies, we are sending our sincerest condolences to you all. What a wonderful man I love that he knew My Parents from church and I'm sure my mom knew him from years prior. There are so many stories but he really did help me out of a pickle a few of them actually and forever grateful. My mom Theresa Yenik sends her Condolences 🌺🌻 Love as well Pam and kids. I'm honored to know you. Beautifully written. Much Love, Theresa and Mary

All of the Callahan kids were my family. To us, they were “Uncle Jack” and “Aunt Diane” and all of the kids were our sisters and brother! The many family vacations we spent together in Fall River, Cape Cod, and areas surrounding Whitney Point will always be some of my best childhood memories. Poor Mark! Always outnumbered by all of us girls! I’m sure Mark was greeted warmly In Heaven by his sweet sister “Crispy Critter” and Aunt Diane, and best of all, he struggles for breath no more. We love you Mark.
