OBITUARY

Pamela Brown

March 27, 1956June 9, 2021

Pamela Irene Brown is finally at peace after a long courageous battle that many did not know she was fighting. She lived a life for her family, friends and community. She will forever be remembered for her love, optimism, strong willed spirit and passion for teaching in the Chenango Valley School District. Pamela is predeceased by her grandparents, Earl and Bertha Salisbury, Irene and Robert Knox and father, Phillip Knox. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Laura Knox, husband of nearly 40 years, Robert Brown; her children Robert and Katrina Brown, Corey Brown and Jackie Gartenman, and Amanda and Michael Heath; her grandsons Andrew, Carson and Levi Brown, and Grayson Heath; her siblings Rick, Rob and Ron Knox and Judy Little and her nieces and nephews who Pam absolutely treasured. To everyone who knew her, she was considered an angel herself and it is no coincidence that she took her last breath in the arms of the angels at Mercy House in Endicott. In lieu of flowers, the family would be extremely grateful for donations to this incredible charity. A memorial service will be held at the Ogden Hillcrest United Methodist Church on Friday, June 18th at 10am in Hillcrest.

Mrs.Brown was such a bright light in my days at CV. She helped me with some of my math lessons during my free period before the end of the day. She worked with me fully and happily. She provided me with encouragement and kindness and helped me to succeed in my classes. I'm not sure she ever knew how much her help and kindness meant to me in days when I was struggling personally and with classes.

She was a wonderful light in this life.

Pam was such a wonderful person in all ways. She was such a treasure to our community. I have many memories of her couching our girls for our Hillcrest Civic group. Also spending time with her as our children grew. She was such a warm and loving person. She will never be forgotten. I'm so very sorry to all her family and friends for their loss.

Pam is one of my oldest and dearest friends. She was a bridesmaid in our 1975 wedding and is Godmother to our oldest son. I can still feel her hugs. She had this calming way of comforting and "mothering" about her that made everyone feel loved. My life will not be the same without her. But I know, and I hope her family finds comfort in knowing, that she is where she belongs- with the angels. Until we meet again Pammy, I will carry you in my heart, my forever friend.

All my Love, Lois
