Robert E. “Bob” Adams, 77, passed away peacefully at Mercy House on Sunday, January 16, 2022, after a short illness. He was predeceased by his parents George & Jean Adams of Port Crane, his brother-in-law Frank Christensen of Kirkwood, his first wife Eleanor Hancock of Greene and his great nephew Dalton Harder. He is survived by his bride of 44 years, Nancy, his son Bobby (Jeri) of Syracuse, his step-daughter Patti (Nick) Strippoli of Tampa, his brother William (Cheryl) of IA, his brother Bert (Deborah Raimondi) of Binghamton, his sister Beverly Christensen of Kirkwood, his sister Karen Brown of Binghamton. Bob had many grands, great grands and several nieces & nephews, all very dear to him. He was “Uncle Bob” to many life-long friends and will be sorely missed.
Bob was an honest and humble man with a strong work ethic, a super sense of humor and an amazing memory; he always kept his word. Bob wrestled at Chenango Forks High School, was a season ticket holder at Cornell and traveled the country for the Nationals. He was a retired toolmaker by trade, as was his father. He also owned and operated a successful roll-off trucking business. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and antique car shows. Recently Bob enjoyed exploring Florida from his home in Naples.
