WORD, BENJAMIN CARRINGTON beloved father and devoted husband was born May 17, 1958 and passed away in his home Sunday, June 12, 2011. The youngest of six children, he was the son of the late Dr. Samuel Buford Word and Sylvia Riley Word and is preceded in death by his brothers, John Berry Word and Daniel Warren Word. Ben was a guitar enthusiast, divinely skilled cook, and could tell a joke that would split your side. He is survived by his "lovely bride", Dianne Tuttle Word; adoring daughter, Melissa Carrington Word; and siblings, David Riley Word, Samuel Buford Word Jr., and Lee Word Buckingham. The family wishes to celebrate his life at WorkPlay Theater, located at 500 23rd St S, on Thursday, June 16th from 6 - 8 pm.
