Carlin Aland Fillingim

It’s with profound sadness we mark the loss of our beloved mother and best friend, Carlin Aland Fillingim, who passed away peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2021. Carlin was a beautiful soul with a strong sense of justice; a fierce supporter of people she loved, and causes she believed in; an embodiment of love and equality; a mother; a friend - to all she met. She cherished life and lived every day with beauty and joy. Her presence was felt, whether or not she was nearby, and her legacy, and our memory, is her ability to spread joy and inspire our hearts. The ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 1st at 10am in Elmwood Cemetery.

Carlin is pre-deceased by her parents Ralph and Jeannette Aland and her nephew Scott Turen. Carlin is survived by her daughters, Kacey and Nikki Aland both of San Francisco; her sister, Jan (Edward) Turen of New Jersey; her niece Ashley Turen of New York and nephew Kevin (Evelina) Turen of Los Angeles, as well as many loving cousins and friends.
