Thrash, Catherine Pope, age 95, who passed away October 14, 2012, was a homemaker most of her life and a connoisseur of antiques. She was a charter member of the Randolph Sunday School class at East Lake United Methodist Church. Mrs. Thrash descended from one of the pioneer families of Cherokee County, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Thrash, Sr.; brothers, Doyle Pope and Paul Pope; and sister, Helen Pope Price. She is survived by her sons, Andrew Thrash (Luz) of Wildwood, GA and Thomas W. Thrash, Jr. (Meg) of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Mary T. Gibson (Phillip) of Birmingham; and grandchildren, Mary Thrash, Andrea Thrash, Drew Thrash, Maggie Thrash, Katie Gibson and Amy Gibson. She also treasured her special nieces, Pheobie Mynard and Meredith Driskell and her #3 son, Bob Snead.
Private graveside services will be held at Cherokee Memory Gardens in Centre, AL.
