Janis, Sally and all of Mrs. Almon's beautiful family,
I'm so sorry for your loss! Your mother was a wonderful person who always loved folks and spread such incredible humor with that accompanying contagious smile. She lived life well, with a zest for all moments! It was a pleasure to know her!

Sally and Janis,
I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Dot's passing. I am going to really miss the phone calls. Usually she called me, but a few months ago I called her. She was so surprised she told me I was not me. She was always a real pleasure to talk to. She was a wonderful inspiration.

Dear Martha & L G- I was upset to see Dot's obituary in the paper on Tuesday. I did not realize that she had been sick. She was my first cousin and we kept in touch over the years, with calls and Christmas cards. I am sorry I will not be able to make the service because I am unable to drive anymore. Sally and Janis, So sorry we are out of town.I became so close to Dorothy after mother died. She would come by often to see me because she knew I did not get out very much.We would talk about family and she always had pictures to look at. She loved Resha's kids and they loved her. Daddy will be very sad for a long time. We all will. I want you to know that both of you brought so much joy and happiness to her life. She was so proud of her entire family. We will miss her so much. We love you all.

Miss Dot was a sweet lady. I knew her because she was friends of our Uncle and Aunt. AB and Pat Bridges. She has a Red Riding Hood Cookie jar that I made. She truly was a joy to be around and I know you will miss her.

So sorry I can't be there tomorrow. We still have the bakers rack that she gave me when I bought my house from her. Will never forget her suggestion that the guy across the street was single and he may be available. I think I said something like " right". She was right then,
but for the last 28 years he has not been available.
She was a character and will be missed by so many. Will keep you all in my prayers.

Sally and Janis,
I was saddened to hear about your sweet mom and her recent medical issues. I saw her last fall at my niece's wedding shower, and she looked fabulous! Mom was crazy about her and valued their strong friendship. I will pray for both of you and your families. God will comfort you in the weeks to come, and it is such a comfort to know that your mom is resting peacefully with Him.
