Douglas Reid Bonfield of Mountain Brook, Alabama, passed away from cancer on February 23, 2023. He is survived by his sister, Carol Lynn Bonfield and brother in law, Mark Nakagawa. Doug was a graduate of UAB and also held a Master’s Degree in History. Doug owned the business Central Restaurant Equipment in Birmingham from 2005 until closing in 2021. He was an avid reader and passionate about sci-fi. He spent endless hours creating his own advanced sci-fi games. Doug is remembered as a kind and helpful neighbor and is greatly missed.
