Edwin Scott Welch passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 23, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Julia Welch, his two sons, Daniel, Joshua ( Joshua's wife Bethany) and his three grandchildren, Harper, Oliver, and Evelyn. Scott Welch was a caring, gregarious man with an adventurous spirit. He loved taking canoe trips down the Cahaba River with his friends. He had a gift for gardening and could breathe life into the most stubbornly browning plants. His guitar music was lively and beautiful, and he had an entertaining story for every occasion. His friends and family will remember him as a generous man who was always willing to go out of his way to help someone in need. We will miss you Scott Welch, but you will live on in our hearts and memories. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday the 28th at Jon's Ridout's Funeral Parlors on Southside. Visitation will begin at noon, with the funeral service starting at 1:00 PM. Internment will follow the services at Elmwood Cemetery.
