Frances Roberts Willmarth

Robbie was an artist, adventurer and activist. She was predeceased by her husband Philip Reed Willmarth, former President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, and traveled the world in 2007 with Phil as First Lady.

She is survived by her children Eldridge Fuller Gray (Kirsten) and Lelia Gray Neil (Todd); and Phil’s children Janet Willmarth Hoeg (Don) and John Reed Willmarth (Sharon); and her grandchildren Katharyn Neil Echols (Ben), Kyra Kerr Gray, James Fuller Neil, Elena Loft Gray, Cornelia Loft Gray, Petersen Robards Gray, Annie Elizabeth Hoeg, Charles Fogarty Hoeg, Jack Oliver Hoeg, Jonah Reed Willmarth and Clara Elizabeth Willmarth.

A memorial will be held at the Cathedral of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama on August 13, 2021, at 11:00am; followed by an art-filled celebration of Robbie’s life at Vino in Mountain Brook. In lieu of flowers, as she was a life-long voting rights organizer and advocate, the family would ask that you consider a donation in her memory to the League of Women Voters organization (https://www.lwv.org) in your home state.
