Jason, You slipped away from us so soon. Your sweet spirit is dearly missed by friends and loved ones!

Playing "Little Things" and "Thinking Out Loud" at Roger and Jason's wedding was a very proud moment for me.  Same Sex Marriage had been recognized in all fifty states just a few weeks before.  They were a gorgeous couple and it was a joyous event.  I've known Roger my whole life and I've never seen him so happy.  My heart is with you Roger.  Jason was a sweet and generous man.  We will miss him.

We met you and Jason at Debbie and Wayne’s wedding. We saw how happy and full of love both of you looked. Steve and I are heartbroken to hear of Jason’s passing. We send our strength and condolences to you and your love ones. You are a great person and full of love...stay positive and loving as always.

The best grooms men anyone could hope for. I remember the after party with Jason and Roger more vividly than the wedding reception itself. And obviously Jason HAD to stop enroute to get his soda. 

Our little “Mocha” kitty was also mesmerized by his warmth and love. 

We loved being part of the Santa picture tradition Jason and Brooke would meet for each year. 

The kids adored him and he loved them so much. He was the coolest uncle in their eyes and he made sure to keep that spot. We miss you so dearly Jason

Jack had requested a baseball field cake for his sixth birthday party and I knew Jason was up to the task.  He arrived with cakes, icing, and baking blowtorch, ready to create the best baseball field cake the world had ever seen!  He was so genuinely patient while Jack helped him put together and decorate the cake.

What a sweet man gone entirely too soon.

We are so honored that Dwight and I made the trip to see you and meet Jason in July. It was wonderful to be together and  to celebrate Jason’s birthday, we will always cherish our group picture commemorating the day.

You know we love you dearly and as I have said to you many times before we say goodbye, “you know you are one of our favorite human beings on the planet”. Our collective Sherman hearts are breaking for you. We love you!

Jason has been an adopted member of our family for over 22 years. How do I remember the exact number of years? We met Jason in the summer of 1996 when he and my daughter were incoming freshmen at Johnson and Wales and were gathering to make a trip to Atlanta to work at the Summer Olympics before their school year started.  He and Brooke became instant friends that summer and as a result, he was included in many family events. We all loved the fun and sparkle that Jason brought with him. When Brooke's first child was born, Jason flew from Atlanta to South Florida with only a few hours notice to be one of her first visitors. Every one of her three children think of him as their Uncle Jason. When Jason introduced us to Roger, we could see that his sparkle factor had grown exponentially and we came to love Roger as much as we love Jason and loved that they were able to spend Christmas with us several years. Rest in peace my handsome, sweet, adopted son. Those blue holiday lights you bought me several years ago will shine even brighter this year.   

My dear Roger my heart breaks for your loss and our loss of a gentle friend. I knew Jason only because of you and Mary Margaret but I have loved you for a thousand years  and because of that love I truly feel your heart ache. Your friend Phyllis

Jason, you were one of the gentlest, kindest, most patient (especially when you had to listen to dear Roger and I telling one of our crazy ABT stories!) people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. You always made everyone you were around feel really special.  I was always so happy to see how beautiful and loving Roger and you were- how your gentle ways and his outgoing personality really complemented and completed each other. The first time Jason came to our Thanksgiving dinner, he brought the most amazing and inspiring desserts we had ever seen, a gorgeous coconut cake and a beautiful cheesecake, both looked straight out of Gourmet Magazine.  They were absolutely as tasty as they were delightful to look at.  We will miss him at Thanksgiving this year,  and every year thereafter, a gentle sweet soul of a man...

I only met Jason briefly during the chaos in the lobby of the Metropolitan Opera House at the last American Ballet Theatre reunion. He was very nice, was so at home having to endure meeting one friend of Roger's after another and Roger was beaming, I don't think I ever saw Roger so happy. My thoughts, prayers and LOVE are with you my dear friend Roger and your family. I know that this is a very difficult challenge, but knowing your positive spirit and sense of fun you possess, you'll see this through to the light at the end of the tunnel. 

Roger, I’m so sorry for your loss, and that I can’t be there in person with you. Jason was a genuinely nice person. Sweet and kind. Accepting of others. Supportive and loving. He will most certainly be missed. I will remember him fondly every time I go to Bronners. I’m sure he will be helping to decorate Heaven for the holidays.

His love for children. 
His boylike excitement. 
He was so precious to us. And to Finley.

Besides feeding cats, one of my last memories of Jason was by the mailbox. We said our hellos and then with boyish excitement and a light in his eyes he said, “Roger comes home tonight!!” He was so excited. 
He loved you so. 
In that moment I thought to myself how special you both were . I knew Jason had been sad lately, but this moment told me he was going to be ok. 
He had deep love and content with his life.
He was loved.
And he loved, immeasurably. 
I saw it in his eyes in that very moment.
I will hold on to that moment and his excitement for your homecoming. 

I am so sorry. 
May you feel the love surrounding you through family, friends, neighbors, and community.

Jason was a special man with a big booming laugh and a loving heart. I met him through Roger and the love that they had for each other was joyful and immense. He was a gentle and kind soul, RIP dear Jason we will miss you 💙

Jason was such a kind and gentle soul. I loved to see his eyes light up when he would see my little girl. His love for children was so evident.   Such a special guy. He will be so missed. 

Jason was the best friend every he was always polished and clean he was nice and kind. He had a big personality that would light up a room. Love him he was a good friend. Will miss you . You were a friend until the end you respect me that what i loved about you! Gone too soon friend. Saks family for ever.

Jason was a beautiful wonderful man. I always enjoyed his presence at work. He always had a calming presence. We would always enjoyed sharing stories. He had such a genuine joyful laugh that I loved to hear. I admired him and looked up to him a lot. He was truly a classy man. Always handled situations with grace and dignity. A patient person. I'm truly going to miss him and will never forget him. I learned a lot from him. Thank you for being real and letting your light shine brightly. 

Jason was a good friend and coworker.  Loved to decorate workplace, especially around holidays.  2 yrs ago at Christmas, he had elaborate plans as usual, I would help and get ticked off when it wouldn't work...he would always calm me down.  An arch of lights we were bending to put up, slipped and popped me in face.  I created new words.  He calmed me down and we laughed.  I sorely miss my good friend..RIP.

Jason was an amazing young man.  A joyful person every time we met at family events
