Jeffrey Daniels Wurst

Jeffrey Daniels Wurst, age 54, of Birmingham, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 26, 2021. Jeffrey was born January 8, 1967. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Wylda Wurst and sister Deborah Kaufmann. He is survived by his wife of 16 years Kimberly Ross; daughters, Abigail and Millicent Wurst; brother in law, James Kaufmann; brothers, Steve Wurst (Julie) and John Wurst (Julie); nephew, Robert Wurst (Heather); nieces, Dana Fluharty (Brian), Erin Wurst, Candler Campbell and Mimi Jewell Campbell; sister in law, Kristi Campbell Green (Eric) and his cat Graham.

Jeff graduated high school from Savannah Country Day School and received a BS in Applied Biology from Georgia Tech. and his Medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed a residency in family practice at Carraway Methodist Medical Center and began his practice as an emergency medicine and lifesaver flight physician there. He later served as director of the emergency department at Carraway and also at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. He completed his career as an attending physician in the emergency room at St. Vincent's East Hospital. In his free time, Jeff enjoyed sailing and architectural renovation.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Southside Baptist Church, 1016 19th Street South Birmingham, Alabama 35205 with a celebration of life service following at 2:00 PM.
