Jerry Ann Bibb

Jerry Ann Edmundson Bibb (Ann) 90, met her Creator after a short illness on December 22, 2021. A lifelong resident of Birmingham, she graduated from Phillips High School, earned a Bachelors degree from Auburn University and M.Ed degree from the University of Mississippi. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Birmingham where she volunteered in the church library. Prior to raising a family, she taught fourth grade at Leeds Elementary school. In 1959 she married William Wyatt Bibb. She is preceded in death by him as well as her parents Jerone Josiah and Annie Watkins Edmundson. She is survived by her two children Jerone Edmundson "Eddie" Bibb (Suzanne) and Carolyn Agnes Bibb (Susan Yandel). As an active woman, she was an avid waterskier, and loved a good chilled piece of watermelon on a hot summer day. She had a fondness for cats, is predeceased by several, and was a generous supporter of local animal rescue organizations. Her generous spirit also supported other local family and children related charities. There will be a Visitation Sunday Afternoon December 26, 2021 at Johns-Ridout's Funeral Parlors from 3:00 to 5:00 PM with a Funeral Service at Johns-Ridout's Funeral Parlors Monday, December 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Shelby County Humane Society, the Full Life Ahead Foundation, or the First Baptist Church of Birmingham.
