Josephine Habshey Wehby

Josephine Habshey Wehby was reunited with her beloved husband, Habib Saide Wehby, while surrounded by the love, prayers, and embrace of her family on April 8, 2022. She was born June 24,1925 and lived almost 97 years as the matriarch of her family. She was known for her quick wit, her feisty personality, her delicious food, and her loving, humorous advice. She was preceded in death by her father, Monsour Habib Habshey, her mother Bonda Mickwee Habshey, her sisters Nazha Catherine Smaha (Joseph), Mary Helen Harika (Nolan) and Julia Maheba Wehby (Salim) and her cherished son, John Herbert Wehby. She is survived by her sons Harold (Debbie), Phillip (Diane), her daughter-in-law Carol Clark Wehby and her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jessica (Christian), Christopher (Kimberley and Luna), Veronica (Burton and Ladner), Adam (Bethany), Scott, (Kim) Hikael, and Kevin. She was treasured by her surviving nieces, nephews and friends of her closest family. She was cared for lovingly by her friend, Cheryl Hill. A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Saint Elias Maronite Catholic Church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM with a rosary to follow from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery Concluding all Services. In Lieu of flowers please make memorials to the Saint Elias Ladies Altar Society.
