

Prosch III, Louis Andrew “Butch”, of Mountain Brook, AL died October 20, 2011. Louis was born November 25, 1936 to Louis Andrew Prosch, Jr. and Elsie Munn Prosch. He attended The University of Alabama where he was an ATO and a cheerleader. He served in the Alabama Air National Guard, and then worked in the family business, Indurall Coatings. He went on to sell Beechcraft airplanes for many years and retired from Smith Barney in 2001. He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, past president of Birmingham Aero Club, served on the Board of Southern Museum of Flight, was a member of Vestavia Country Club and Shoal Creek Club. A lifelong student of the game of golf, he also loved music of all kinds, never met a musical instrument he could not play and was an accomplished pianist. His first love was airplanes and teaching Flight School. He enjoyed all games and excelled at poker and card tricks. A true lover of life and fun, he found great joy in fly fishing in the Florida Keys and visiting with his many friends there.
Louis is survived by his wife, Dale A. Prosch; daughters, Ann Beck (Johnny) and Elizabeth Hardwick (Jay); Adam Cone (Erica); grandchildren, Charles & Liza Beck, Hunter & Maggie Hardwick, Mary Cate & Walker Cone; sister, Lee Whatley (Rusty); and Ceil Prosch.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Cantrell and his staff, as well as Sandra Parrish, Milton Shell, Danita Copeland, and Niecy Booker.
The Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, with a reception following in the Founders Room. The family requests memorials be made to St. Vincent’s Foundation for Bruno Cancer Center or St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
