
Marlene S. Waller, b 11.29.1935, died peacefully at home on December 6th. She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse of 60 years, Richard Waller. Marlene was the daughter of Sol and Ida Schneiderman and was born and raised in Chicago. Marlene lived a long wonderful life full of family, friends, art of all kinds, and travel. She is going to be missed by many who adored her, most notably her family: Children; Dana Waller, Jonathan (Allison) Waller, Leah (Ken) Saag. Grandchildren; Jennifer (Chris) Keshishian, Lauren (Yitzi) Peetluk, Stefanie Saag, Joseph Waller, and Nathan Waller. Sister Beverly Ruttenberg and sister in law Janet Waller. She was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Bruce Ruttenberg and Henry Waller. Marlene was a teacher, a mother, an owner of an art consulting business, and best of all a beloved grammy. She socialized often, played lots of tennis, read many books, ate lots of wonderful food, spent precious time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed working as a docent at the Boca Raton MOA and the MCA North Miami. Marlene never met a stranger and always enjoyed going new places and meeting new people. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as an abundance of close and long-standing friends. She lived with scleroderma for 30 years but more recently the disease greatly impacted her quality of life. This year’s arrival of a great grand-daughter, Clara Gabrielle Keshishian, brought many smiles to her face. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday December 15, at 11:00 am (CST) at Temple Emanu-El in Birmingham, Alabama. The service will be available on livestream.
