

Wood, Marth Anne Keadle “OMA”, became an angel and joined her husband on December 23, 2010 at the age of 94. She is pre-deceased by her husband, W. Bruce Wood of 70 years, three sisters, Virginia Stephens, Mary Sue Conway, Helen Moseley and a brother, Grover Cleveland Keadle “Buddy”. She is survived by her daughter Dianne (Ray) Gailbreath, granddaughter, Deborah (Stephen) Dollar, Pamela (Chris) Crocker, grandson, Kenneth Ray “Buddy Dodd”, six great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews along with a special friend, Jessica Echols. Martha Anne was born at the old Jefferson Hillman Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama on December 27, 1915 to Grover Cleveland Keadle and Elizabeth Vaughn Keadle, and resided in Roebuck Springs. Martha Anne was a member of the First United Methodist Church since the age of five. She and Bruce were very active serving in MYF, youth teachers and in many church committees. She was always known for her beautiful smile and twinkling blue eyes. The family would like to thank all the staff at New Beacon, Odyssey Hospice service and especially her personal nurse, Bethany. The Rev. Keith Thompson of the First United Methodist Church and Rev. Alex Oberneider of Wilson Chapel will officiate graveside services at Forest Crest Cemetery on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Ridout’s Roebuck Chapel the day of the funeral.
