She was a faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 84 years.

Children that preceded her in death - Michael Boyd, Timothy Boyd, Martha "Marty" Miles (Paul), Alex Webb Grandchildren: Michelle Harris Clark (Nick), Sherri Murphy (Sean), Michael Miles, Holly Boyd, and Jose Boyd; and one great-grandson Miles Murphy. Mattie loved and was loved by many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
