Nabeeha O Shunnarah

Nabeeha O. Shunnarah passed away on December 16, 2023. She was 94 years old. Nabeeha was born in Palestine on August 25, 1929 to her parents Odeh Shunnarah and Maria Shunnarah. She moved to the United States and became a citizen in 1965.

Nabeeha devoted her whole life to her families, both church and her home. With a kind heart, she helped raise over 70 nieces and nephews. At St. George, she was always there to help with the food festivals. To her, there was nothing more important than the people in her life and how she could put a positive impact in their day. She will be deeply missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Odeh and Maria Shunnarah. Nabeeha is survived by her sister Naimeh M. Shunnarah and whole host of Shunnarah family members and over 70 great nieces and nephews along with nieces and nephews.

There will be a Visitation on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 held at St. George Catholic Church located at 425 16th Avenue S., Birmingham, AL 35205 at 10:00AM to 11:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow the Visitation at 11:00 AM. Afterwards, there will be a committal in Elmwood Cemetery located at 600 Martin Luther King Blvd Birmingham, Alabama 35211.

In Lieu of flowers, the Shunnarah family asks the donations be made the St. George Building Project fund.
