

Nade Habshey, 87, passed away, Friday, October 19, 2012 at his home in Smyrna. Nade was born and raised in Birmingham Alabama. He was a WWII veteran and flew countless missions out of Grottaglie, Italy as a nose gunner on the B24 aircraft. After the war he attended the University of Alabama and was a life long BAMA fan. His career in the aviation field started at Eastern Airlines followed by Douglas Aircraft and retired from Electro Air in Atlanta in 1991. Nade is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Christine Carter Habshey, his 3 devoted daughters, Linda Wallace of Austell, Libbie Hughes of Atlanta and Kay Campion and her husband Andrew of Casselberry Florida. Eight grandchildren, Fran Collins (Ivan), Joshua Hughes (Kati), Ruby Jordon (Michael), Jeremiah Wallace, Christian Hughes (Abby), Taylor Hughes, Alexandra Campion and David Campion and nine great grandchildren. Brothers, Norman and Herbert Habshey and sister Linda Roton of Birmingham. His closest friends, Jim Short of Marietta and Bob Powers of Tallahassee Florida, his B24 pilot Robert Kubiak of Omro, Wisconsin and co-pilot Ray Boln of Spokan, Washington.
