Roger was an outstanding person and a friend to everyone. I have so many good memories of working with Roger on research projects. He took me to Evensong at Westminster in London during one of our trips to conferences. I still remember clearly sitting there and listening to the boys' choir. Music was one of many interests and talents of Roger. He made numerous important contributions to mathematics. He will be greatly missed.
