Sue McKenzie Tuck

Sue was born on May 1, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia to Gordon and Virginia McKenzie. She grew up in Ashburn, Georgia and graduated in Education from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta. On August 22, 1964, she married Albert Tuck.

Sue had a passion for teaching. After teaching three years in Atlanta, she along with her husband and daughter moved to Birmingham. She taught at Cherokee Bend Elementary School in Mountain Brook for 23 years.

Sue is preceded in death by her father, Gordon McKenzie, and mother Virginia McKenzie. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Albert Tuck, her two daughters Lisa Bor (Jim) and Julie Tuck, three grandchildren, Alexa Martin (Tucker), Jake Ruttenberg, and Dylan Bor, her sister Anne Reed (Theron) and brother Ken McKenzie (Rhonda).

Funeral services will be held graveside on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 12:00 at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
