Although I only met Tom a few days when I first visited Boulder, we immediately connected and became good friends. I so enjoyed having Tom in my English class in the 11th grade. He was a sweet boy who loved the outdoors and running. I often waved to him as he ran near Brookwood Road, his face red, and his smile broadening when he realized it was I waving at him.
