William F Colburn, age 86, of Birmingham, Al passed away on May 18, 2023. Mr Colburn was born in Tuscaloosa Alabama, January 5, 1937 to Florence (Anders) and Floyd Colburn. As child he moved to Birmingham and graduated from Woodlawn High School. He graduated from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide) school of engineering in 1961, with a MS in Mechanical Engineering. He was married to Carol (Hughes) Colburn for 58 years before her death in 2018. He work as a Mechanical Engineer his whole life. He is survived by his children, son William F Colburn Jr, daughter Lucretia Colburn Pappas(Pete) grandchildren Dessa Colburn, Lillian Colburn, Zoe Pappas, Nikki Pappas, Alexis Pappas, Gregory William Pappas and Demetrios Pappas, and brother J.Allen Colburn(Margaret). And preceded in death by his sister Geraldine (Colburn) Clark(Jack). Services will be held Monday May 22, 2023 graveside at Elmwood Cemetery at 2:30PM.
