Though I was much closer friends with Bill's younger brother Dick, my older brother Skip was closely bonded with Bill throughout high school and beyond. Bill had a noble presence that exuded kindness, thoughtfulness, humor and uprightness. Bill and I shared a beautiful conversation a year and a half ago at Bill's brother Dick's funeral. I suspect that Bill was a true North Star leader and a legend of integrity from all those who crossed his path. He certainly was in his Upper St. Clair High School (Pittsburgh) community ! Bill's presence will be deeply missed !
( ...and hello to Patsy Keever, an Asheville neighbor who I now realize was dear friends with Bill at Duke !)

Thank you for sharing your life and love with Bill for your 34 years of marriage. Stewy was part of the group when I went out with my late husband (of 34 years) on a blind date for the first time back in those Duke years. Stewy has always been special to me, and I am so glad he found happiness with you and your family. Much love to you!
