Alexander “Al” Ralph Taglione, 93, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at his home in Bloomfield. He worked as a sign painter for Charles Maier Sign Co. in Newark for many years. Alexander served in the US Navy and the US Marine Corp in World War II. He was a lifelong member of the Holy Name Society of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Belleville. He was loved and adored by all who met him. “A truly great man” Al is survived by his loving wife, Angelina (Buscemi) devoted children, Carol Castles and her late husband, Philip, Alex Taglione and his wife, Darlene, Michelle Petruzzi and her husband, Thomas, Mark Taglione and his wife, Victoria; brothers in law, Mario Buscemi and Hank Sadof, cherished grandchildren, Kellie, Philip, Jaimee, Jessica, Thomas, Stephanie, Samantha, Carissa, Jessica, Matt, Michael and Damien, great grandchildren, Mason, Carter Alexander, Gino, Alessio, Kaeli, Ryann and Gracyn. He is predeceased by his sisters, Lucy and Marie. Funeral services will be conducted by Zarro Funeral Home, 145 Harrison Street, Bloomfield,(www.zarrofuneralhome.net) Visitation will be on Sunday, September 27th 1-5pm Kindly meet at church on Monday, September 28 at 10:30am for the mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belleville. The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington.
