Caroline Gamba

Born in Newark, Caroline lived in Bloomfield and East Orange before moving to Toms River 12 years ago. Caroline was a police matron for the East Orange Police Dept. She also worked for the Board of Education in Bloomfield as a school aide. She was a member of the Fisherman’s Club in Toms River, and was an avid bowler.

Services will be conducted by the Zarro Funeral Home, (www.zarrofuneralhome.net), 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 19th from 10-12 am followed by the burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

She is survived by her children, Carmella, Ronald, and Joanne, 4 sisters, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her husband, William; her children, William Jr. and Carolyn; parents, Carmela (DiGiovanni) and Americo Calderone; and 2 sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family will accept monetary donations in her memory.
