Francesco “Jerry” D’Alessandro, 96, born and raised in Newark, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Relatives & friends are invited to attend the viewing on Wednesday, July 15th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be conducted by Zarro Funeral Home, 145 Harrison Street, Bloomfield, on Thursday, July 16th at 9:00am followed by a mass at 10:00am at St. Lucy’s Church, Newark. The burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Orange. Jerry was the beloved husband of the late Mary D’Alessandro; loving father of Ida Arlene LaConte and the late Anthony LaConte; devoted grandfather to Stephen, Marianna, Cecelia and Francesca and was also survived by his 8 great-granchildren.
