Manuel Soto

Manuel Soto, 79, of Newark, passed away on April 2, 2014. He was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico and has lived most of his life in Newark. He was the owner of Soto Grocery Store in Newark for 43 years.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Zarro Funeral Home, (www.zarrofuneralhome.net), 145 Harrison St.,Bloomfield, on Monday, April 7th, 2014 at 8:45 am followed by a mass at 10:00am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Newark. The burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington, NJ. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 6th, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Myra (Soto) Rijo and Enit Torres; cherished grandchildren, Melissa Rijo and Emanuel Torres; many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Agustina (Alzarez) Soto and his parents, Justina and Juan Soto.
