With your love, lessons and faith I was able to create my own family that I can only hope to raise as well as you did me. I don’t know if I have ever been more proud and humbled every time I saw you hold your great grandchildren.

Your appreciation and respect for education and learning, along with your praise and support, allowed me to succeed and create a better life for myself. Assisting you in your night classes as you taught English to people in the community must have had a bigger effect on me than I thought. But you still always reminded me to listen to the students.

Grandma
I will always be grateful that you took me in with love and care. Although I always called you Grandma from that moment you would be my mother. Without you I don’t know what my life would have become.

Wonderful person and soul I met in Nogales Az , I met through my mother Olga Alvarez Tellez (her cousin)
I believe Alicia would travel To Magdalena, Sonora with a sister and her aunt “tia Maria” to a church to honor Father Kino, who built many churches in Southern Az and Sonora, Mex.
Alicia would stop in Nogales and visit with my mom and family
She was funny and enjoyed the visit, and would laugh a lot !
God bless her, she will be with her wonderful family members that have passed and friends!
Deepest condolences and firm hugs
Love from me, and my sisters and brother Gustavo

Cousin Licha, this is how we, AZ relatives, remember her. My mom considered Licha as one of her sisters. We looked forward to every October when the CA families would visit us, it was a tradition. They would stay up late every night and talk and talk. So many fond memories of these visits. Licha was always laughing. You shall forever be remembered. Our condolences and prayers to the family. We love you Licha
