Bessie was born in Brownfield, Texas to JC Walker and Hettie Lorine Walker.
Bessie was preceded in death by her parents JC Walker and Hettie Lorine Walker, grandson Ryan “Cooter” Rampenthal, great grandson Michael Dean Bush. She is survived by Jack Morris, 6 daughters Deborah Cozine of Atwater, Shirley Rampenthal of Yucaipa, Judy Escarzaga of Highland, Nancy Morris of Manchester, Tennessee, Linda Morris of Hemet, and Kathie Kingston of Apple Valley. She also leaves a heritage of 25 grandkids, 52 great-grandkids, and 9 great-great grandkids.
She graduated from Modesto High School and Skadron College of business becoming an Accountant.
Bessie was a Girl Scout Leader from the late 60’s to the late 70’s for Debbie, Shirley, Judy, Nancy, Linda and Kathie’s Brownie troops.
She worked with the March of Dimes in 1979.
She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club in the 80’s and 90’s having earned Women of the Year award.
She was a member of Toastmasters International San Bernardino Chapter in the 80’s.
She was an Insurance Agent for State Farm in the late 80’s early 90’s.
Bessie was also a member of Parents without Partners in the 80’s and 90’s.
Later in life she worked as a bookkeeper for mobile home parks in Yucaipa, California until she retired at the age of 80.
Bessie loved visits and visiting family and friends, especially the grandkids.
She loved gardening and always had a beautiful flower garden and bountiful vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed home decorating and reading her Bible.
Her favorite holidays were Easter, Fourth of July (very patriotic) and Christmas.
She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and all that knew her.
