Cecile Agnes Papandrea

November 8, 1931 - March 12, 2012

Cile Papandrea was born November 8, 1931 in Detroit, MI to Cecilia & James Grant. She was 80 years old. She had five Siblings, 3 brothers and two sisters: Joseph, James & Richard Grant, Mary Mattingly and Cathy Grieshaber. Cile graduated from St. Rita Catholic School in Detroit, MI. Cile married Albert J. Papandrea in 1951 and was married for 60 wonderful years. In 1954 they moved to Fontana, CA where they lived for 37 years then after her husband retired they moved to Meadview, AZ for 15 years. In 2006, they moved back to Calimesa,CA where they were currently living. In 2011, Cile broke her leg in two places and battled a long hard recovery and had to be placed in a nursing home. During this time she became very weak and developed pneumonia. Cile passed away on March 12, 2012 at Redlands Community Hospital of Heart Failure with her family by her side. She was survived by her husband Albert J. Papandrea. Together they had five children (Four Sons and one Daughter). Two sons passed away, Jerry and Pat which were married to Eva Raney and Toni Draeger who since then have remarried but are still loving daughter-in-laws. She was survived by two sons and one daughter: Tom(son) & Billie Papandrea, Mary(daughter) & Lynn Whitney and Albert Jr. She was the beloved Grandmother of 12 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. She worked at JC Penneys in Fontana, CA and Lighthouse for the Blind in San Bernardino, CA but was a homemaker most of her life. She was a great cook & enjoyed Toll Painting, Crafting, Cake Decorating, Reading and loved to tell Jokes and Stories... She was a beautiful loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend and will be missed dearly by those whose lives she touched. Memorial Services will be held Friday, March 23, 2012 @ 10:00 am at Green Acres Mortuary, 11715 Cedar Ave., Bloomington, CA 92316.
