

Kari was educated in the San Bernardino School system graduating from Arroyo Valley High School. During those years, Kari excelled in football #77 and basketball, earning numerous accolades.
Kari was a happy-go-lucky person, always smiling and looking out for others. He wanted to make everyone happy. So, he always had a joke or a funny jester ready to get those around him smiling.
Kari was super protective of his family. When his daughter De’laya was born he settled into fatherhood very nicely, enjoying his role day in and out, never leaving his daughter with anyone other than her mother; his loyal and caring girlfriend Johnisa Frazier. Kari was a great father and supportive man.
Kari enjoyed playing video games with his brothers, working alongside of his grandfather restoring old model cars for Route 66, fishing with grandpa and uncle Sonny, watching television or just talking about the facts of life with his grandmother, he would often speak of times spent with aunt\babysitter Jessica. These were very special bonding times for him.
Kari was extremely loyal and dedicated to his family and friends. “He was and will forever be my warrior! “ Love, Mom.
Proceeding him in death is his maternal great – grandmother Cleaster Kinder, paternal grandmother Sallie C. Goldsmith, and his paternal step grandfather Frank L. Goldsmith
Kari leaves a legacy of memories to be cherished by his daughter De’laya Burrell, his mother Tomica and stepfather (Marcus) Johnson his father James and stepmother (Monique) Burrell, brothers Derrick Charles, Donovan Charles Sisters Meazure Johnson, Courtney Burrell, Step siblings Erica Charles, Marcus Charles, Macara Johnson, Mya Johnson, grandparents GH and Annie Haywood, girlfriend Johnisa Frazier, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family, and friends.
