Our late night drives to get milkshakes at 2 am  Were my favorite. Or driving around in the bucket blasting the music. On hot summer days we had no a/c in the car so she would stop and get a beer and she would let me take one gulp and she’d take one and then we’d toss it.  Cuz anyone who knows lane, knows she can’t drink cuz her knees get ‘shakey’ 😂 one thing I remember most is staying up late with her every night to watch crossing over with John Edward, and late night at the Apollo. Only to wake up to her telling me “get to bed your bed, your head is flopping”.  Teaching my little sisters all the lullabies, how to sit up, crawl, walk.  Fast forward to recent times,  my kids had the privilege of being around her and getting to learn her lullabies and dances. “Put ur little foot”, “motor boat, motor boat” and also her not so proper lullabies...”Cinderelly”. Spending the night at my moms and waking up to nanas quesadillas. Then sitting down watching jerry, Maury, and Steve in the morning. Gonna miss that. And her food. My favorite dish belonged to nana. Her red Chile. I could go on forever. I love you lane and I’ll miss you so much.  Blessed we got to spend your last birthday with you nana.  

My memories of Nana... too many to list. What puts a smile on my face is remembering her songs she would sing to the babies “ up in the air Juniors birdsman “. “ put your little foot put your little foot , put your little foot right there” but her little original ...  “. Bung bung bung bung. Woooah woah woah budaumpumpumpump” I can still hear her voice singing it.    Or when she’d say “ sit on it and spin “ flipping the bird.  Lol   Or injun and mirra instead of Indian and mirror ( big smile) I love NANA!!

I've got so many memories... Here is a couple.... I remember my Aunt Lelo placing me in the middle of the living room and turning on Diana Ross and the Supremes or the Jackson 5 and saying dance Mija dance. She showed me a little step to this day I remember so clearly...... Another time I stayed the night and got homesick criied and kept her awake. She took her sandal off and gave me a good one. And I needed it. Morning came she was making goolosh. I says mmmm my favorite.. I want to stay another night. She said. Oh no you don't.. lol! Oh gosh. I'm so sad to hear of this tragic ending of this life for her and hers.. I'm so sorry. Love and blessings, cousin Marcy to family. We don't understand it all.
