OBITUARY
George W Duncan
December 14, 1933 – April 4, 2013
GEORGE WILLARD DUNCAN JR. was born in Beatrice, Nebraska on December 14, 1933. He was the son of George and Mary Jane Duncan. He was raise in Omaha, Nebraska and a graduate of Central High School. Upton graduation, he served in Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. After the Service Tour we work for his father as a mechanic before moving to California. He left Nebraska in the early 1960’s and made his residence in Riverside, California. After arriving, he briefly became a chauffer while taking blue print classes at Riverside Community College. After completing his courses, he started working for Rohr Aircraft in Riverside. At Rohr Aircraft he work on several projects for NASA, BART system in Northern California, several Commercial Airline designs before moving on to become a Supervisor and an Inspector at retirement. He work for Rohr from 1964-1994. George was a loyal member of St. Paul AME church in San Bernardino. He was a member of two choirs. He often attended FIRST AME in Los Angeles. George loved his sports. You name the sport and he had an opinion on which team would make the playoffs and then tell you why they would make the playoff. We loved Track and Field Meets often taking his kids and their friends. Friday nights were off limits for they were dedicated to the local High School and Junior College football and basketball game. He often played softball with the neighborhood kids when his kids were growing up. George also loved to go on Cruises. Often going with the church, they would travel the Caribbean for 7-10 days. He also enjoyed the Alaskan Cruises. George leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife, Josephine; two step-sons Xavier Duggan and Dale Duggan; sister in-laws Audrey Gaspard and Nell; brother in-law Guyford (). From his first marriage to Novella Ruth Duncan (deceased) he leaves to mourn Audrey Lynn Duncan (deceased); George Willard Duncan III; Michael Keith Christensen; Terry Wendell Duncan; Grandson: Justin Michael Duncan: He is also mourn by sisters Patricia Whitfield of Omaha, Nebraska and Cecelia Byrd of Denver, Colorado; 10 nieces; 7 nephews and host of other family, church members and friends
