

GLORIA LOZANO MEDINA, a life long resident of Riverside, CA, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2017. She was born to Francisco Lozano and Sylvina Rodriquez from Guanajuato, Mexico. She worked for the rectory at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine for 20 years, and was a member of the Alter Society. She was an excellent cook Many people savored her delicious recipes; including her tamales, chicken mole, and menudo.
Gloria was very dedicated to her family, faith, and friends. She had a very special way with people; everyone loved her as soon as they met her. She was always friendly and cheerful, bringing many people joy. She was truly loved, and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. We will always have her smile and laughter in our hearts.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Eleuterio Medina, sons Larry and Rudi Gil, daughters Gloria Elizabeth Gil, Sallyann Lopez, and Arlene Armendariz. She was very proud of her 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Alex Gil, beloved daughter Linda Felix, and beloved grandson John Paul Gil.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing and rosary at Green Acres Mortuary in Bloomington, CA on Monday, November 13, from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 14, at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine. Burial to follow at 12:30pm at the Riverside National Cemetery.
