

Gloria Rose Piccoli, 90, of Fontana, Ca. passed away on August 29, 2023 of natural causes after a long and beautiful life.
Gloria Rose Piccoli was born on January 25, 1933 to Joseph and Lillian Nastasi in Niagara Falls, NY.
After Gloria Rose Piccoli graduated from Saint Mary’s Catholic High School, Niagara Falls, Ny. in 1951. She went on to achieve her Associate Degree in General Studies and obtained her license in Practical Nursing.
In 1953 Gloria Rose Piccoli met Nick Piccoli while attending school where their passion of music joined them. Nick and Gloria married on July 2, 1955 in Niagara Falls, NY.
Gloria and Nick moved to Fontana, California and went on to have their first child, Francine Marie Piccoli in 1960, followed by Joseph Nastasi Piccoli in 1961.
While raising 2 children and working at her and her husband’s restaurant at night, The Villa Nicola, she was determined to continue her education. Eventually she graduated with a Bachelors in Sociology and her teaching credentials from Cal State San Bernardino.
After achieving her teaching credentials, she started her first job at Resurrection Catholic School, in Fontana, Ca. and later taught at Boyd Elementary School in Rialto, Ca. as a 5th and 4th Teacher, beginning a 25 year career in education.
After Nick won her heart, Gloria was truly devoted to him in a beautiful marriage of 33 years before he succumbed to cancer in 1988. Her devotion and love led her to never remarry throughout her remaining time on this earth.
In 1990, At 57 years old, Gloria Rose Piccoli retired and spent her time caring for her son, Joseph N. Piccoli, who fell ill to cancer and lost the battle in 2016. She would find enjoyment in cooking authentic pastas, playing the piano and singing. She was an active member of the Sons & Daughters of Italy and the Italian Catholic Federation. She was a devout Catholic of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fontana, Ca.
Gloria Rose Piccoli was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Husband, Nick Piccoli, her son, Joseph N. Piccoli, and her sister, Francis Nastasi. She is survived by her daughter, Francine M. Piccoli Ransdell and her Sister, Ethel D Juliano.
Services will be held at Green Acres Memorial on October 25, 2023 at 12:00pm. We ask that you join us to Celebrate the Long Life of a Strong Woman before her time, Gloria Rose Piccoli.
