Jeanne Castrejon Santana was a deeply beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, loyal friend, and devoted woman of God who peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by the love of her family.
Jeanne was born on May 5, 1957, in Fontana, California, to Manuel and Sadie Castrejon. She was the fourth eldest of seven siblings and from early on she embodied deep empathy, boundless love, and gentle patience. Jeanne had an extraordinary gift for making people feel truly seen, heard, and valued. A compassionate listener and faithful encourager, she lifted others up, always inspiring them to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams.
Her faith in God was the cornerstone of her life. Jeanne lived with a quiet strength rooted in her trust in the Lord, often sharing one of her favorite scriptures: “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). This verse reflected her unwavering faith, resilience, and the peace she carried within her heart.
Jeanne was adventurous and full of life. She found joy in simple pleasures and shared experiences, especially time spent with family. She loved being at the lake, boating and riding jet skis, and embracing moments that created laughter, connection, and lasting memories. No matter the setting, Jeanne brought warmth, joy, and a sense of togetherness wherever she went.
Family was Jeanne’s greatest treasure. She expressed her love through thoughtful acts of care such as homecooked meals and most famously through her baking. Her homemade cakes, baked with love and intention, were a true reflection of her generous heart. Every birthday was made special by Jeanne, and those who knew her understood how important it was to her that everyone felt celebrated, loved, and valued.
Jeanne was also a faithful servant of God who lived her Christian faith through compassion and service. She devoted thousands of hours volunteering at her church, serving others with humility, grace, and kindness. Her loyalty to her faith, her family, and her friends was unwavering. Jeanne was an amazing friend, someone you could depend on in times of joy and hardships.
Jeanne is survived by her five beloved children: Anthony Copas, Angela Santana, Jeannette Castrejon, Anthony Aguilera, and Andrea Castrejon. She was the proud and loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Connie Freeman, Manuel Castrejon, Eileen Flores and Rachel Santana.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jimmy Copas, whom she loved deeply and carried in her heart always.
Jeanne will be remembered as an extraordinary woman, a loving mother, devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, loyal friend, faithful servant of God, and a source of light to all who knew her. Her legacy of love, faith, and compassion will live on through the countless lives she touched. Though she will be profoundly missed, her spirit and memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to love her.
May Jeanne Castrejon Santana rest in eternal peace.
